Today

Today is new day, with brand new possibilities. New things to do, new challenges to tackle. It's important to realise that each day given to you is God, and you need to live each day to the full. This includes doing your work to the best of your ability, spending time in the word of God and spending time with family. By giving each of these three special attention in your day, you will be living your day to the fullest. If opportunities to do good, to help someone or just to be kind come your way today, don't hesitate to do it. If you live your life giving special time for the things that are important to you and not clustering your day with unimportant things you will feel peaceful at the end of the day. God gives you peace and this peace is found in discipline, self-control and spending time giving God all your problems. Claim God's promise of peace for your life and live today abundantly. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Rom 5.1-5) Don't live in the past, let go and move on, don't live only for the future, you might not see that day; live for today, today is all you have. Make right with those you'v wronged and make the best of each good opportunity given to you.

Begin Again
by Susan Coolidge
Every day is a fresh beginning,
Every day is the world made new;
You who are weary of sorrow and sinning,
Here is a beautiful hope for you-
A hope for me and a hope for you.

All the past things are past and over,
The tasks are done and the tears are shed;
Yesterday’s errors let yesterday cover;
Yesterday’s wounds, which smarted and bled,
Are healed with the healing which night has shed.

Yesterday now is a part of forever,
Bound up in a sheaf, which God holds tight;
With glad days, and sad days and bad days which never
Shall visit us more with their bloom and their blight,
Their fullness of sunshine or sorrowful night.
Let them go, since we cannot relieve them,
Cannot undo and cannot atone;
God in His mercy, receive, forgive them;
Only the new days are our own,
Today is ours, and today alone.

Here are the skies all burnished brightly,
Here is the spent earth all reborn,
Here are the tired limbs springing lightly
To face the sun and to share the morn,
In the chrism of dew and the cool of dawn.

Every day is a fresh beginning;
Listen, my soul, to the glad refrain,
And, spite of old sorrow and older sinning,
And puzzles forecasted and possible pain
Take heart with the day, and begin again.
